Good Morning My Lovelies!
Today is a special day for one of our fellow bloggers. Remember Beth from Through the Eyes of the Mrs.? Of course you do!
Well, this blogger-ette and I were chatting it up the other day and I thought I'd share the conversation with you.
Nay:
hi there…thanks for visiting! so I hear that there’s something special going on in your neck of the woods?
Beth:
I'm thrilled to say that my shop is finally open and ready for business. It's been such a long time coming and I've prepared and worked hard for this day. I still have a lot of work to do but I'm so happy and relieved. You know how crazy and chaotic things have been for me recently and the time has come!
Nay:
Do you have photos of your line?
Beth:
Of course I do hun. Here's a few pretties and you can see more at http://www.etsy.com/shop/throughtheeyesofmrs I'd love to hear what you think and if you place an order in May I'm offering Free Shipping. Just enter MRSFREESHIP at checkout.
Nay:
I love it! What made you want to start this up?
Beth:
The first blog I ever followed inspired me years ago to start a shop of my own. I was never sure what I wanted to do but have always been a creative person. After years of talking myself out of it the Mr. finally told me to go for it and don't look back. I took the first steps basically on my tip toes and now am thankful that he talked me into it.
Nay:
With everything else you have on your plate, how do you handle it all?
Beth:
I really don't know some days how I manage everything but somehow by the grace of God and a good attitude I get through the toughest days. The Mr. is very supportive and often comes home from work to help me bathe the kids and clean up dinner. I really couldn't do any of this without him. He may drive me banana's at times but I'm thankful. I think that some days our family totally could be a sitcom because it can be quite comical trying to do it all.
Nay:
Do you have any DOs and DON’Ts on starting this type of adventure for other mom-preneurs?
Beth:
I really have no idea what I'm doing half the time but I believe in the power of friends and social networking. I believe that you need to do your homework and I also believe that your products should go well together. I have spent countless hours studying and taking advice from other shop owners. I think that I've prepared myself the best that I can but I'm always a work in progress and learning new things.
Nay:
I always love having you here – thanks again for visiting and chatting with us!
Beth:
Oh girl you know I love you and I thank you for all of you support and friendship. It's been a wild ride and I'm grateful for friends like you. I've been the worst friend lately so I apologize to all of you beautiful ladies.
I hope you enjoyed the little chat. Now, please please stop by Beth's shop and give it some love {with free shipping!}.
xoxo
